Diaper Boxes.....REALLY???

So having two boys that are still in diapers (unfortunately) we buy A LOT of diapers, so to save money we buy in bulk. When you buy diapers in bulk they come in boxes and let me tell you I love boxes! I don't keep a lot of boxes because I'm kind of picky when it comes to keeping them. First they have to be sturdy and thick, next they have to be clean, I know that sounds weird, but when I say clean not only do I mean from dirt and spots, I also mean nice and neat without any jagged edges :) I always knew diaper boxes would come in handy I just didn't know what to do with them until now....

my husband and I have been married 4 years now and we have moved 6 different times (because of his job) so we haven't really had a chance to get  "real" bed side tables. For now we are using the small parson tables that you can get at walmart for like 14$ when its college season lol. But I am happy with my tables for now ;) so because we have these tables and they don't have any drawers or shelves on them all I have is the table top, and if I don't have room on the top of my table then naturally everything goes to the floor(where else am I gonna put it) I'm a big "table hoarder" I like everything there where I can reach it. My kindle, Women's Health magazine, bible study stuff, knitting stuff, my ear phones (my son likes to mess with them so I have to keep them in my room) as well as my sunglasses, I also have my glass pen holder with my pens in it.

What a mess right?

 So I thought it would be great to get a basket to put everything in but I didn't have one then I thought well what about a diaper box they are sturdy and  wide enough so the gears in my head started turning. All I did was get scrap booking paper that matched my room and hot glued it to the diaper box. and voila my very own customize "basket" I love it and it fits perfectly underneath my table! What do you think?

Smart Phone M.I.A

        So now a days "most" people have some sort of smart phone. I myself have an iPhone4 well let me rephrase that HAD an iPhone 4 :( . My wonderful helpful son Wyatt (who is three) wanted to help me put some clothes in the washer so of course I let him help me. One thing that had slipped my mind was that when I was switching laundry I had laid my phone on top of the washer while I was folding the clothes that were in the dryer,

laying the clothes that I had folded on the dryer I moved my phone from the top of the washer to the top of the dryer. Now I switch the clothes and started the washer and dryer up, once I had closed the washer lid (I have a top load washer) I placed my phone back on top of the washer so that I could pick up the clothes that I had folded and put them away. While I was putting the clothes away (this is the point in time that I had forgot that I had set my phone on the washer) my one year old needed me for something once I had gotten him taken care of I finished putting up the laundry, while I was in my room I went ahead and grabbed some more dirty clothes to put in the washer. My three year old was with me and wanted to help so I gave him a few pieces of clothes and told him to go put them in the washer he was excited (naturally) so he ran ahead of me to go put them in the washer. Once I had gotten to the laundry room he was trying to lift the lid to put the clothes in, I said hang on let me help you, the whole time he was in the laundry room he had grabbed my phone to take it off the washer and sit it down so he could lift the lid and put the clothes in, I did not know this, but in all the commotion with him trying to lift the lid and me coming in there to help he had forgotten that he had my phone in his hands once I lifted the washer lid he threw everything in there.

      Since I had had the washer going already by the time I had put the clothes away and grabbed more the washer was already full of water, once he put his clothes in there and I had put mine in I shut the lid and walked away my son came up to me and said "OH NO where's mamma's phone its in the washer!!!" I thought to myself there's no way because normally I take it with me where ever I go so I went to look in my room and then my boys' room and in wasn't there I took one more skim around the living room and it was no where to be found. So I rolled up my sleeves and I stuck my hands down in the washer that was filled to the top with soap and water and sure enough there it was in the bottom. Oh I was so upset, not at my son I knew that was an accident, hes never been one to take things and just stick them somewhere, I was upset at myself for leaving it on the washer to begin with. I had just gotten that phone in October for my birthday :/ good thing we had insurance but I have been without my smart phone for what seems like FOREVER and it has only been like three weeks. Its sad that I am having withdrawals, my husband and I don't have a home phone so I had to get this replacement phone for the time being and let me tell you its no smart phone lol.

It dosent even have a camera haha But my new phone should be here within the next couple of days I'm so excited!!!
